  Kudos was formed as a Family Business that managed the family's affairs subsequent to the sale of SRI. After leaving ALM I took a 1 year sabbatical to focus on charitable work. I spent a large part of the year building houses for Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans. During this time I formed our family business, Kudos, LP to manage the families affairs and to provide advisory work to a number of Private Family Offices wishing to consolidate and run their portfolio companies in accordance with the People, Planet, Prosperity imperatives. During this time I became the CEO of Nixle, LLC turning the company around in 8 months.

  July 2006 - October 2007

  After selling SRI to ALM I became a member of the 5 person executive team that successfully packaged and sold ALM to Incisive Media in August 2007. As part of the executive team I prepared for and participated in almost 20 management presentations to potential buyers. Integrated 5 business units within 6 months. Helped Legal Tech, Insight (Toronto Canada), Real Estate Media and ALM Legal Events enjoy record EBITDA even in a declining market.

• Co Founder, President & CEO at Strategic Research Institute

  January 1993 - June 2006

  In January 1993, I co-founded and became the President & CEO of The Strategic Research Institute (SRI) subsequently building it into one of the world's leading global executive conference companies before successfully selling the firm to a Wasserstein Portfolio Company in June 2006. During this time, the firm created, developed and managed over 1,500 executive conferences on five continents, attracting more than 250,000 global executives as attendees, more than 40,000 globally recognized industry leaders as speakers and over 2,000 firms as sponsors or exhibitors. SRI was: * One of the first US companies to pioneer executive level business - to - business conferences in China * Instrumental in providing the platform for billions of dollars in business-to-business transactions due to the relationships made at its conferences * The catalyst for the generation of more than $500,000,000 in hotel revenues SRI focused its research and produced meetings for C-Level executives in 7 distinct industries but it also serviced the affluent consumer sector by developing conferences for Private Family Offices, Ultra High Net Worth Families and Individuals (UHNWF's/I's) and High Net Worth Families and Individuals (HNWF's/I's) focused mainly on Investment Management, Wealth Management, Capital Preservation, Intergenerational Wealth Transfer and Private Family Office Management. I was personally responsible for creating the heralded conference series "Alternative Investment Strategies for Private Family Offices" which became the catalyst for the 6 years of diligence and research into this sought after market. My greatest achievement was that during the 14 years of SRI's existence, the average tenure of its management team was over 10 years. Additionally, many of SRI's team have gone on to build their own incredibly successful conference/event companies.
